Growing up, I never wanted to do anything but paint…After leaving Kingston with a Fine Art degree, I worked in Graphic design, Interior design and also spent time as a cartoonist and muralist. Recently I have returned to painting. My studio is surrounded bywoodland on Ashdown Forest where nature has become my inspiration. The natural world has all the best designs, and I love to capture the shift in light and colour with the changing seasons while reflecting the natural energy of the subject. As a starting point for a painting I take a great many photographs, some of which lead to drawings and collages - these help me plan a painting. I then allow the paint and my imagination to lead the way.
