Chris’ paintings explore her emotional resonance to the landscape of Sussex. Through layered color, texture, and gesture, Chris seeks to capture the feeling of place as it is remembered. All elements remain intentionally abstract — inviting the viewer to complete the scene through their own experience. Her process is physical and intuitive: paint is scraped, built, and reworked to echo natural forces such as erosion, tide, and weather.
