Sally Grafton

Ceramics

Sally’s work reflects her love of beauty, colour and the vitality of the natural world. Every piece is carefully made by hand using techniques such as throwing, coiling, sculpting or hand building. Pieces are decorated with coloured slips using bold brush strokes and lively marks. Sally has always worked in the arts; starting with a BA Hons Art degree. She started out as a jeweller making bespoke pieces, then taught Art in secondary schools, and finally, with the discovery of clay, trained in City & Guilds Ceramics. Since then, Sally has been making and teaching Ceramics. Sally has regularly exhibited locally and aims for her work to bring delight and joy.
