Oil Paintings
For many years my accent was on drawing on the mystery within church interiors and the mystery that sometimes a wood can generate and sometimes some wild seascapes.
I found myself in a huge empty space inspirationally after covid but which now I see as a comma in my creative development. There is more of a calm when I paint and hope it evokes that to the viewer. I do predominate blues and greens which seem to be my default colours, but really because they express what I am feeling about the painting and my connection to the subject. I have always had an interest in spiritual art and now realise after years of searching, that it can be implicit in any painting, whether by a child or adult and doesn’t need to be literal. So, my artist within is hoping to express my new vision of the downs and trees.
