Isobel Moore is a mixed-media textile artist   based in East Sussex. Her work blends reclaimed fabrics, papers, soft   cottons, recycled sari silks and handmade felt; layers of collage and   appliqué are enriched with machine embroidery, and finally embellished with   details including hand stitch, beads and buttons.

Her work is mostly abstract and intuitive,   led by colour and pattern, with echoes of the natural world — botanical   forms, landscape and seascape, imaginary maps and places — and occasional   glimpses of knots, spirals, circles and other ancient and traditional motifs.
